Free Legal Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic

Join The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach for a free legal name and gender marker change clinic. Volunteer attorneys will provide guidance in filling out California court paperwork for name and/or gender change and fee waivers. Paperwork will be pre-printed for you to fill out! Just bring yourself and your questions. Additional information will be provided about changing state and federal identity documents.

Our volunteer attorneys will be available for advice on complicated cases and other issues that might cause barriers.

Access info: The room is located on the ground floor. There are two wheelchair accessible restrooms on that floor as well.

Parking: Visitors to The Center may park in the lot behind the building.

These clinics are typically held every 3rd Saturday at The Center except for the month of May. If you can’t make one of our scheduled legal clinics, please call The Center at 562-434-4455 to set up an individual consultation for another date.
