Mental Health Awareness Week 2017
Join The Center as we celebrate our 2nd Annual Mental Health Awareness Week.
We are really excited to bring to you new presenters, activities and ways to find our paths towards wellness through positive self care and ways to better our Mental Health.
-Tuesday, May 23rd, 6-9pm
CityHeART will be joining The Center as they lead a therapeutic art workshop where they host a creative art space consisting of: visual arts, poetry writing, and creating a self care plan within a peer supportive space.
Finish off this workshop with CityHeART as they host a Queer affirming Yoga Space with a Yoga session. Please bring a mat for this event.

DIY Self Care Night
Join us as we create self care tools for a night of creativity and fun. We will be using household items to show how practical making things to help your well being can be, including affirmation stones, slime, and aromatherapy satchels.

TRE Session Hosted by Brian Goldman and Ana Rosa Najera
TRE(r) is a simple and quick set of movements that turn on our body’s natural rebalancing process-providing an immediate experience of relaxation. By releasing everything from everyday stress to deeply held physical tension and trauma, TRE(r) frees us up to meet life’s challenges with greater skill and ease. Best of all, our bodies do the work; we get relief without needing to process or retell our story.

Queer Visibility Project Portrait Sessions
The Queer Visibility Project (QVP) was developed by Justine Lockerby to capture portraits and stories about queer identity directly from folks in the LGBTQ+ community.
Join her to have your portrait taken and to explore the connection between visibility as empowerment and self-care. Limited makeup & hair touch-up sessions will be available
